Val MacKenzie - Glorious Food - in the kitchen Canterbury New ZealandGlorious Food – Handmade by Val MacKenzie – comes from my love of creating glorious food and sharing it with friends and family. I have worked for years in the catering and café trade. I then decided it was time to start my own small handcrafted food and catering business and so Glorious Food was born.

Like most great cooks and bakers, I had lots of great recipes that had been tested and proven through years of baking for school fundraisers, church fairs, country shows, fetes and working in cafes.
My Classic Fruit Cake wins the ‘Best Fruit Cake’ at the annual Sheffield Show. So it was no surprise that this award-winning cake became our first product, quickly followed by our Classic Christmas Cake. These two cakes are still our most popular cakes.

When you live on a farm in Sheffield on the Canterbury plains, it’s easy to take your access to fresh seasonal produce and good ingredients for granted. Our range of relishes lets me share that fresh taste and goodness with you.

Glorious Food is about making deliciously simple food. Everything is handmade in my licensed farm kitchen.

I use real butter, cage-free eggs, seasonal produce, top-notch ingredients and no artificial colours or preservatives and can trace all ingredients back to the supplier. Where possible, produce comes straight from the garden or is sourced locally.
